Silhouette Literary and Arts Magazine: Poetry Section
fall 2022
Taking inspiration from modern graphic design trends, I designed the poetry pages to compliment the artist’s work. Playing with blur and grain, these pages explore simple patterns to show off vibrant color combinations.
spring 2021
For the 50th edition magazine, we wanted to design timeless pages with a modern twist. Again, I designed the poetry pages. I played with line weight and symmetry/asymmetry to create beautiful yet simple spreads for our artists. I tried to enhance the poetry rather than overshadow it.
fall 2021
With a 70’s inspired theme, I took the twelve chosen poems and created pages and spreads for them in the magazine. Using InDesign, I wanted to take the ordinary poetry page and elaborate on it using color and theme.
