TXTUR is a boutique furniture manufacturing company based in Roanoke, VA. All of our products are made in our factory, from lumber to finished goods.
During my time at TXTUR, I’ve had the opportunity to design custom furniture pieces, as well as a few in-line products. I design and engineer the products in AutoCAD, create stock sheets or plywood drawings, draw the foam and fabric patterns, and oversee the production all the way through the factory.
Custom Dining Table Base
A customer came in with very specific desires for her custom dining table base. We worked hand-in-hand to design this table for her, trying to meet all of her requests. We made the X base first, but the table top was too large and caused the base to twist when pressure was applied. I then pivoted to the star shape and made the wood thicker, to provide more support. In the end, this table turned out so beautiful and one-of-a-kind.

Arc Sofa
The Arc corner unit was my first complicated plywood engineering project. For more customization options, my team and I decided that 2 45 degree corner units would be ideal. Seeing this product come to life, especially after many upholstery challenges, was definitely worth the wait.
Repono Bed Bench
I designed and engineered the Repono Bench to fill a gap in the catalog. I prioritized storage and elegance over everything else, sacrificing ease of upholstery. The inside of the bench is what sets the Repono apart from similar items on the market. It looks so simple, but to be entirely upholstered, this product went through many iterations.
Custom Walnut Bench
A customer came in asking for a custom bench to hold a specific cushion she had. She loved the look of the Loom Sofa (pictured below), so the bench was designed as a derivative: taking the design language from the sofa and translating that into the bench.

Sett Ottoman
As a growing company, there were a lot of gaps in Txtur’s catalog. Before the Sett, Txtur only sold round ottomans. Although the design is simple, the Sett is extremely cost and time effective while complimenting, but not overpowering, the furniture it is surrounded by.
